POLYFLOW - The components of tensors in film casting do not seem in agreement with the physics

A film casting simulation is defined for a viscoelastic fluid model, where the take-up velocity is along y. The EVSS-SU method is used. Upon inspection of the results, it seems that the yy-component of the elastic part of the stress behaves like the xy-component and vise-versa. In other words, in CFX-Post, the names of the components 22-EVSS and 12-EVSS are permuted with respect to their respective contents. What is happening? This little trouble is connected to the data structure and field format used. Using the keyword OLD_VISCOELASTIC for the POLYDATA session will restore the proper ordering of tensor components. |
