Currently, adaptive meshing based on large field variation can only be invoked using the element subdivision whereas adption for contact and/or remeshing is done using TGRID. The two adaption schemes cannot be combined. It may be useful to allow large field variation based adaption to be done using TGRID as well. This will allow this option to be useful for contact problems that require adaptive meshing for remeshing and/or adaitive meshing for contact.
If the user is interested with remeshing based on large variation of fields, such variation of field occurs most probably at the wall, at the contact. One may think here e.g. about the development of a possible thermal boundary layer. If that is the case, one could consider a remeshing zone along the boudnary.
