In ANSYS 8.1, when the user changes the contact algorithm to pure Lagrange (KEYOPT(2)=3 or 4, the sign convention become negative for contact sliding distances for some of the CONTA17x elements. Why does this happen?

This is a code defect which will be corrected in the ANSYS 9.1 release. Absolute values (AASS/AASR) are correct. |
