Why won't my circuit coupled Magnetic Vector Potential input
converge in ANSYS 8.0?

The default convergence criteria are not appropriate for a circuit coupled analysis. Since the magnetic solution is the only nonlinear one, you can replace the default convergence criteria with CNVTOL,CSG and the input will work. NOTE: It is not recommended to use permeable and non-permeable material together with SOLID97 (See assumptions and restrictions.) It may be acceptable in this case in which the iron forms a complete magnetic circuit. |
