I get the following error whenever I try to solve a Workbench simulation:
"An error occurred when reading the xml results file(s). Please send the database to your Ansys support distributor."
What causes this error?

There could potentially be other causes for this message, but in this particular case, the error is due to the user having NO_ELDBW=1 set in his config81.ans file. Workaround: Simply change the confignn.ans file so that NO_ELDBW=0 This problem is fixed in 9.0. For 9.0, the program automatically issues /config,noeldb,0 in the ds.dat file to turn off this switch. |
