Does ANSYS Workbench write any files to the user's HOME directory?

Workbench does not write any files to the user's HOME directory. However, some preference files and report files are written to the following directory: c:Documents and Settings<username>Application DataAnsysv81 The amount of files depends on the report written. The location of where these files are written can be changed by doing the following: At the Workbench Startup page choose Options at the bottom: Next, choose DesignModeler->Miscellaneous. You can change the directory under: Files->Folder for Temporary files. You can also turn auto-save for DesignModeler off or lower the frequency of saves for DesignModeler. Also, The Geometry Import Temporary directory can be changed by choosing the following: Common Settings->Geometry Import-> Temporary directory |
