Customer was successful in downloading the ICEM 5.0 encrypted file to a local Unix machine using command line ftp.
He was able to decrypt the downloaded file, but when he tried to un-tar it (tar -xvf), he got the following error:
tar: directory checksum error
What is the cause of this error?

This error is usually caused by a bad decryption (wrong password) or the file did not download completely. |
