Mixsim2: PBT with 90 deg pitch angle: Gambit gives error message: 7303 : inconsistent containment of intersection

In MixSim, a pitched blade turbine impeller object is used, and the blade pitch angle is set to 90 degrees (vertical).
(This is basically a radial paddle impeller..) MixSim fails to generate and mesh the geometry, and close investigation produces the following error message issued by Gambit: ERROR: ACIS error 7303 : inconsistent containment of intersection If the problem description matches your case, you can and *should* use a "Radial Paddle" impeller object instead of the "Pitched Blade" impeller object here! |
