I am using custom memory settings, what is the maximum amount of Total Workspace (-m) I can specify for MY computer?

The maximum amount of Total Workspace (-m) is machine dependant. Use trial and error to determine the maximum amount that can be specified for a given computer. For example, try specifying 256Mb. If ANSYS launches, the maximum amount is larger than this number. Keep incrementing the Total Workspace up (to 500, 1000, 1500) until ANSYS does not launch. Note: The use of the -M switch is no longer recommended for normal ANSYS use. ANSYS now dynamically allocates memory as needed. Only use the -M switch if you are certain that you need to do so.
