I have created a geometry and a mesh with DesignModeler in Workbench 9.0.
I want to make a copy of the geometry and the underlying mesh (with mesh-controls, 2D-regions etc).
Please can you show me how to do this?

In the following workaround, I will assume that you want to copy
a) a geometry file (agdb )
b) CFX Mesh files (cmdb and cmdat )
and put all these files into a new directory and for them to be still associated together.

Let us assume you have project1 with a project1.agdb, wbdb, cmdb and cmdat files.

1. Copy the agdb, cmdb and cmdat files to a new directory.
2. Create a new workbench project, project2, say.
3. Browse and open the project1.agdb file in the new directory.
4. Create a new CFX Mesh from the project page. Change the surface mesh size (or any parameter) and save the CFX Mesh files.
5. Save the workbench project and close ANSYS Workbench.
6. Open the .wbdb file in a text editor. For example, on Windows you could use Word.
7. Change the name of the cmdb and cmdat files in the text document to be the CFX Mesh files that you have copied to the current directory.
8. Save and close the .wbdb file.

When you next open the .wbdb file in DesignModeler, the associatively will be intact.
