Are there any examples of using birth and death in Workbench Simulation?
Yes, please see the attached Workbench Simulation 9.0 SP1 example. APDL commands are used to incorporate the birth and death feature into Workbench Simulation. A solid rectangular column is under axial and shear load. A hollow rectangular column is later added around it. The elements of the latter are first killed and then brought back to life after the original load is applied to the interior column. In the last load step, the original inner column load is increased and axial and shear loads are also applied to the outer column. Command snippets are used to create POST1 plots, too. . |
