Is there any way to use tabular loads in an MSUP harmonic response analysis?

As stated in the F command Notes section of the ANSYS 10.0 Commands
Reference, Tabular boundary conditions (VALUE = %tabname%) are not
supported in ANTYPE,HARMIC (MSUP or otherwise) analyses. Therefore,
Feature Request 40279 was filed to implement this feature.

In the meantime, ANSYS Development and one of our Channel Partners
(Belcan) suggested the workaround below. An input file is attached,
as well.

1. Start with a modal analysis, as always.
2. Obtain a "dummy" mode-superposition harmonic solution with no loads,
but with all other relevant data, such as the frequency range, number
of solutions, damping, etc. We need this dummy solution to capture
the frequency points determined by the clustering option.
3. In POST26, use VGET to "upload" the frequency points to an array.
4. Calculate the frequency-dependent loads using array operations. For
example, force=M*w^2*R for an off-balance load in a rotating system.
5. Perform the "true" harmonic analysis using a do-loop to loop through
each load calculated in step 4.

The attached example illustrates this procedure for ANSYS 10.0.
