I try to run the can combustor tutorial with EDM reaction modelling. I have followed the documentation but the reaction does not start in the domain.

This is an error in the combustor tutorial documentation. When going through the tutorial by following the documentation, the combustor will not burn. When you run the Pre session file, it works. The reason for this is that the EDM coefficient is set to 0.5 on the reactions tab. If this coefficient is set, you need to initialize reaction products (NO and H2O = 0.1) to start the reaction. Another way to start the reaction would be overriding the coefficient by setting 'Global Dynamic Model Control = On'. Then one would not need to initialize the products. But this override works for the fluid models tab only. It does not work for this setup, where the coefficient is set on the reactions tab. |
