I have not been able to make CFX run in parallel on 64-bit Windows machine?

On a 64-bit machine, the default CFX installation path is usually: C:Program Files (x86)Ansys IncCFXCFX-%v However, there is a C:Program Files directory as well. A 64-bit machine has 2 paths that contain the words "Program Files". The path C:progra~1ansysi~1CFXCFX-%v therefore has an ambiguous meaning in this abbreviated form. The DOS short form for any path with spaces is the first 6 letters of the pathname followed by "~1". Because the two `Program Files` directories are identical this way, the second one to appear in the directory list usually gets an `~2` instead of a `~1`. The short version for the longer x86 path is therefore C:PROGRA~2ANSYSI~1CFXCFX-%v. |
