Free surface flows use a compressive differencing scheme for the advection of volume fractions to achieve a sharp interface. The Interface Compression level controls which scheme is used.

0 = None This means that a compressive differencing scheme is not used; the normal scheme that is employed for other equations is used.

1 = Standard Compression This is the default compressive differencing scheme.

2 = Enhanced Compression This is a new scheme introduced in CFX-10. It's designed to be more compressive to give a sharper interface.
