When I click "Initialize all" in TurboPost, I get a warning message:

WARNING
Failed to initialize component 'Component 1' in
domain 'S1' for conversion type 'Cartesian to Turbo'

The component then turns red in the Object tree, and has a little exclamation point instead of a checkmark. What is the problem?

The reason for this message is because one of the regions in this component is incorrect. To fix the problem, double click on the component in the object tree. Then try the following:

1) Under the Definition tab, there will be a definition for each of the hub, shroud, blade, inlet, outlet, periodic 1 and periodic 2. Ensure each region (there can be multiple regions, for example the pressure side and suction side of a blade surface) selected in each window corresponds to the appropriate turbo region.

2) If the case does not have a blade (i.e. the component is an inlet section or outlet section) ensure the window beside blade is blank.

3) If the case is a full 360 case, check the 360 Case without Periodics checkbox.

Once you have corrected the regions, click initialize and you should see that the component changes from red to black, and the exclamation point changes to a checkmark.
