Class 3 Error

SYMPTOM:
If an Additional Variable is transferred across a Fluid-Solid Interface, then the Additional Variable is not correctly conserved in a case with turbulent flow. This can be seen by inspecting the "Boundary Flow and Total Source Term Summary" section of the CFX-Solver Output File, where the amount of Additional Variable leaving the solid side of the Fluid-Solid Interface is not equal to the amount of Additional Variable entering the fluid side of the Fluid-Solid Interface.

In addition, for both laminar and turbulent flow, the hybrid values of the Additional Variable calculated by the solver on the Fluid-Solid Interface are incorrect.

This only affects cases with GGI interfaces. It should also be noted that the transfer of Additional Variables between fluid domains and solid domains is a beta feature and cannot be set up in CFX-Pre unless beta features are enabled.

PROBLEM:
The solver does not correctly calculate the Additional Variable flux into the control volume on the fluid side of the Fluid-Sol

WORKAROUND:
No workaround is available.

FIXED IN:
ANSYS CFX Release 12.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 11.0 SP1 is available on request.
