Does the Workbench 11.0 SP1 plugin provide support for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 ?

Informal testing and feedback from customers indicate that the Pro/E plugin released with Workbench 11.0SP1 will work with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0, exceptions as follows: - The Pro/E plugin for 11.0SP1 32-bit will work OK with Wildfire 4.0 32-bit on Windows Vista (32bit), Windows XP (32bit), Windows 2000. - The Pro/E plugin for 11.0SP1 x64 bit will work OK with Wildfire 4.0 64-bit on Windows XP x64 (64bit). - If using Windows Vista x64, then use Special Version 21 downloadable from the Ansys Customer Portal under the CAD Special Versions section. SV21 (2008) is a Special Version to allow 11.0SP1 to support Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 on Windows Vista x64 - Unlike previous versions, Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 will now posts a modal dialog box warning the user of any problems with the config.pro files, including warnings about duplicate entries. Pro/ENGINEER must start cleanly without error in order for the Workbench plugin reader mode to work correctly. At run-time, Workbench 11.0SP1 automatically attempts to add plugin information to the config.pro files located in: <Proe_install_dir>textconfig.pro ...and <user_home_directory>config.pro There is currently no method for disabling this automatic update of the config.pro file. It may be necessary for the administrator to edit, remove or set read-only to one of the config.pro files in order to prevent Workbench from updating the file at run-time. |
