KNOWN ISSUE: Wall scale problem in parallel when no non-slip walls (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: If a case with no non-slip walls is run in parallel, then it may incorrectly solve the wall scale equation, and thus corrupt the overall solution. PROBLEM: This is due to an error in the logic which the CFX Solver uses to decide whether or not to solve the wall scale equation. WORKAROUND: If possible, try to find a partitioning structure in which the wall scale equation is not solved. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 13.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.1 is available on request. |
