KNOWN ISSUE: Incompressible fluids and the Total Energy heat transfer option (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: When using incompressible fluids along with the total energy equation heat transfer model the solver will ignore user specified total pressure at both INLET and OPENING boundary types when evaluating the incoming total enthalpy. PROBLEM: The code actually uses the local control volume total pressure. The magnitude of this error will not be very large since the correct total pressure has been used when setting the boundary conditions for both the momentum and continuity equations. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 14.0. |
