Installing the ANSYS License Manager Only - Service Pack 12-LM1 There are two parts to applying this update, the License Server and the Client Machine 1.The license manager download package ANSYS License Manager Only - Service Pack 12-LM1 was updated. Login to the ANSYS Customer Portal. Choose Download Software, Standard Versions. Choose ANSYS License Manager Only - Service Pack 12-LM1 and ANSYS License Client Only - Service Pack 12-LM1 (located at the bottom of the download page) 2.Reinstall the ANSYS License Manager Only - Service Pack 12-LM1 on the license server. 3.On the client machines, extract the contents of the ANSYS License Client Only - Service Pack 12-LM1. The package also contains a README file with instructions for replacing the file a.On Windows, copy the ansysli_client.exe file into C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensing<platform> `Verify that the new file has read and execute permissions. b.On UNIX/Linux, copy the file into /ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/<platform> `Verify that the new file has 755 permissions. NOTE: We strongly recommend that before copying the new file, you rename the existing file to ansysli_client.exe.old (Windows) or ansysli_client.old (UNIX/Linux). See attached Resolution Document. |
