Problem Description: After downloading the zip files and running setup for an ANSYS R12.0 product you get the following critical error: The directory containing the manifest files for this installation could not be found. Please verify that the install was run according to the documentation. File not found. Resolution: You must download all of the packages for the ANSYS product you wish to install and you must unzip these files into the same directory. For example: Mechanical Products for Windows 32-bit was chosen, the Download Verification would show the following. ALL 4 packages would need to be downloaded. This applies to every ANSYS Product you wish to download. ALL 4 packages would need to be downloaded. The "ANSYS Installation 12.0 for Windows 32" contains the Setup files needed to install. The "ANSYS Base 12.0 for Windows 32" contains the common files needed for all programs. By default most unzip programs will give the path for extraction as the current location with the file name added as the name of the destination location. This MUST be changed. As shown here you will need to delete the folder name, and replace it with the location to where you will extract all of the files. See attached Resolution Document. |
