Before starting to configure MPICH2 verify that you have a network DOMAIN setup. If you are not sure contact your system administrator. Having a network DOMAIN is required for user login authentication. MPICH2 Requirements: Microsoft 1.1 .NET Framework. Question: Can I have MPICH1 and MPICH2 installed on the same machine? Answer: Yes. There are no compatibility issues having both versions installed. Installing MPICH2 1.FLUENT 6.3.26 or higher must be installed prior to the installation of MPICH2 2.Download MPICH2 Installer either 64-bit or 32-bit depending on your Operating System and version of FLUENT. Choose FLUENT 6.3.26 on the download site and then choose MPICH mpi under Optional Packages. 3.Extract the contents to a temporary directory, for example, C:temp 4.Double-click on the .exe file to start the installer. Accept all the defaults. 5.After you have installed MPICH2 follow the steps provided to configure and launch Fluent Network parallel running FLUENT 6.3.26. Note: MPICH2 must be installed on all computers on the cluster. |
