cmd.exe No Disk. There is no disk in the drive


Problem Description: Trying to launch or use a component of FLUENT 12 you receive the following error:

cmd.exe No Disk. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D.

The launcher hangs and we have to kill it.

Resolution: Remove any removable media, for example, a DVD or a USB that might be plugged in and then reboot the computer or change the drive letter designation as suggested by Microsoft documented in their knowledge base. <a target=_blank href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330137">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330137</a>http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330137
