Putting a file on the FLUENT FTP Server


1.Before logging into the FTP server compress your file(s) with any standard compression utility, for example, Winzip or Gzip and save it to a directory without spaces in the name.

2.Open up a Command Prompt

3.CD to the directory where your compressed file is located.

4.Depending on your location FTP to correct FTP site listed below:
a.Asia type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.co.jp">ftp.fluent.co.jp</a>ftp.fluent.co.jp
b.Europe type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.de">ftp.fluent.de</a>ftp.fluent.de
c.India type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.co.in">ftp.fluent.co.in</a>ftp.fluent.co.in
d.North America type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.com">ftp.fluent.com</a>ftp.fluent.com
e.Sweden type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.co.uk">ftp.fluent.co.uk</a>ftp.fluent.co.uk
f.United Kingdom type: ftp <a target=_blank href="ftp.fluent.co.uk">ftp.fluent.co.uk</a>ftp.fluent.co.uk

5.Login as: anonymous

6.Password: your email address

7.CD to the directory where you will put the file(s), for example, CD incoming/directory (where directory represents the support engineers subdirectory or the specific directory you were given)

8.Type: bin

9.Type: put filename

10.Type: quit (when finished)

Note: There may be firewall or proxy server issues at your site that prevent you from doing this. Please check with your system administrator.
