FLUENT - Suggestions for tools to animate unsteady results from FLUENT on the Windows platform

The FLUENT distribution does include some software tools in the contrib directory to animate results on UNIX and LINUX systems. However, these utilities are not available for Windows. Any suggestions for tools out there?

Another shareware tool that might be useful is called MainActor
(http://www.mainconcept.com ). This tool will read a collection of image files (e.g. TIFF files), and create an MPEG or AVI file. It also includes a sequencer so you can slow down your movie or do other timeline-based things to it.

If you have access to an SGI workstation, use "mediaconvert". It reads (amongst other options) a series of tif files and converts them into Quicktime, AVI, MPEG-1 or SGI movie. Very powerful..!
For creating an AVI animation with it from a sequence of tif images, remember to specify the same frame rate in both the left and the right half of the program window under "Video Parameters".
For compression, only "Compact Video (Cinepak)" will be played by the Windows Media Player.
For further reference, please use the online-help provided with the program!
