Hot spots in moving solids

I'm doing a very urgent consulting project for mannesmann-sachs, calculating a clutch for a torque converter
using MRF. (6.8 million cells)
The Problem is, that I get hotspots of temperature (3000-5000K), at "stagnation point" on solids ( cogwheel like)
rotating in fluid.(at the same velocity).
The quality of the cells is good enough, i tried the alternative formuation for wall temperature and the (rpsetvar 'temperature/secondary-gradient? #f)
option as well, but nothing helped.

The interfaces between moving solids and surrounding fluid zones have to be parallel to the motion of the solid zones, even if the neighbouring fluid zones move at the same speed. Otherwise hot spots appear in the vicinity of these interfaces.
