Non consistent particle track crossing a periodic boundary in the parallel solver


If you solve a case with a periodic boundary by using DPM model in the parallel solver, you may find the discontinuous particle track crossing the periodic boundary. The reason is that the fluid cells are distributed to several nodes and all data needed for the particle tracking has to be communicated to the host processor. However, in this case, some particle information about the periodicity may not be passed back to the host correctly.
Switch the Shared Memory, which is the default, to the Message Passing under Parallel in the Discrete Phase Model panel.
