In evolution or transient calculations, how can one obtain the first solution at a given value of S (evolution parameter) or time? Let us assume that the initial step at S_ini succeeds, the subsequent step will be performed at S=S_ini+1.5*dS_ini (or t = t_ini+1.5*dt_ini). If a solution is required at a desired value S* or t*, the user should set the initial increment (dS_ini or dt_ini) to two thirds of the desired value, in order to compensate for the automatic increase.. |
