GAMBIT - Exporting ACIS geometry from Solidworks for import into GAMBIT

The correct version of the ACIS kernel must be used when exporting geometry from Solidworks (or other CAD packages) to GAMBIT. In Solidworks, the ACIS kernel may be selected by pressing the Options button in the "Save as Type" panel. In the Options panel: - select the Solid Surface Geometry radio button - use the drop-down to select the correct version of the ACIS kernel, which are ACIS v8.0 for GAMBIT 2.1 and ACIS v12 for GAMBIT 2.2 - save The resulting file should be compatible with GAMBIT's ACIS interpreter. |
