GAMBIT - POLYDATA - Creation of an external PMESH of dimension N-1

When creating an external PMESH in GAMBIT, I may get troubles in using it in POLYDATA. For example, it is merged with another boundary, or it is ignored... What can be done?
An external PMESH (made of entities not belonging to elements of the dimension of the mesh) can be created in the Specify Continuum Types menu.
It should be identified with the letters PM (or pm) and a number that has not been used for the definition of subdomains. The IDs of the subdomains and external pmeshes must also be continuous! The user should also make sure that the numerical IDs used for external and internal pmeshes are different.

Valid examples involving internal and external pmeshes:
* sd.1, sd.2, sd.3:
bs.1, bs.2, bs.3, bs.4, pm.5, pm.6 (internal pmeshes)
* sd.1, sd.3, sd.3, pm.4, pm.5 (external pmeshes)
bs.1, bs.2, bs.3, bs.4, pm.6, pm.7 (internal pmeshes)

Invalid examples involving internal and external pmeshes:
* sd.1, sd.2, sd.3
bs.1, bs.2, bs.3, bs.4, pm.1, pm.2 (internal pmeshes)
* sd.1, sd.2, sd.3, pm.4, pm.5 (external pmeshes)
bs.1, bs.2,bs.3, bs.4, PM5, pm.6 (internal pmeshes)
* sd.1, sd.3, sd.3, pm.4, pm.6 (external pmeshes)
bs.1, bs.2,bs.3, bs.4
