Is it possible to perform an inverse extrusion simulation for a flow involving a chemical or physical reaction, such as curing, foaming, etc. ?
Yes. Most probably the challenge here is the reaction involved. In first instance, one can consider a phenomenological model where a fluid properdy depends on the residence time. The example suggested in the file Inverse_and_Reaction.zip attached below involves a viscosity that depends on the residence time distribution. The setup of such a flow simulation is standard; care has to be taken with non linearities.
