When installing ANSYS 8.0 for the first time on a SUN Fire
V480 Server, customer gets the following error:
ld.so.1: /ansys_inc/v80/ansys/bin/usIII/ansys.e80: fatal: /usr/dt/lib/libXm.so.4
: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
Killed
Customer was running Solaris 8 and SUN OpenGL 1.2.1
What is causing this error?

The customer was getting the above error because they were not using the required version of OpenGL, as documented in the Install Guide for ANSYS 8.0. ANSYS 8.0 requires OpenGL 1.2.3, as well as the following patches: OpenGL 1.2.3 Patch 112628-10 OpenGL 1.2.3 Patch 112629-10 |
