The following error message (or something similar) is generated on the screen when trying to open a file in POLYDATA, POLYFLOW or POLYMAT:
"can not open file ..Documents and Settings"
One of the likely reasons for this error is the fact that the pathname to the file on your hard disk contains blank space characters such as in "Documents and Settings". Blank characters should be removed. Alternatively, you can store the file in a different location, whose path name does not contain any blank space.
