A user of the Workbench CATIA v5 reader receives a plug-in error when reading in a known good part.
The user reboots the computer, then the same part reads into Workbench OK.
This seems to work for a while, then the attach begins to fail again. The user must reboot the computer in order to get it to work again.
This problem occurs on computers where the CATIA v5 CAD program is installed in addition to Workbench. It is caused by a conflict in the Windows environment path when a CATIA part is previewed or opened by double-clicking. Rebooting the computer clears this conflict, until the user once again previews a part. Workaround for Workbench 9.0 No workaround is needed as this defect is resolved in Workbench 9.0 (see defect 22585) Workaround for Workbench 8.1 1. Login as a user with Administrative privilidges 2. Move the file ReaderHostU.exe From: C:Program FilesANSYS Incv81AISOLCAD IntegrationReaderHostU.exe To: C:Program FilesAnsys Incv81CommonFilesCatiaV5intelcodebinReaderHostU.exe 3.
