Gathering License Diagnostic Information

Sometimes in the licensing, installation or systems troubleshooting process Technical Support will ask for diagnostic information.

The following steps will query the system for information that may help to diagnose a licensing, installation or systems problem.

1.Choose

1.a. Start->All Programs->ANSYS FLEXlm License Manager->ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility or
1.b. Start->Programs->ANSYS, Inc. License Manager->Server ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility or
1.c. Start->Programs->ANSYS 14.0->ANSYS Client Licensing->Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility or
1.d. [path]/ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/lic_admin/anslic_admin

2. Choose View Status/Diagnostic Options.

3. Choose Gather Diagnostic Information.

4. Accept the prompt to save files to a folder.

5. Zip this file and attach to your Service Request with a complete description of the issue you are facing.
