This error occurs when installing Platform MPI as part of the ANSYS 14.0 installation. C:Program FilesPlatform ComputingPlatform-MPIsbinpcmpiwin32service.exe ANSYS 14.0 and Platform MPI were previously installed. ANSYS 14.0 was uninstalled prior to reinstalling, but it was not comfirmed that the pcmpiwin32service.exe service was shut down prior to the reinstallation. In this case, the Ignore option can be selected and the Platform MPI installation will proceed without errors. If pcmpiwin32service.exe service is shut down prior to reinstalling then the error will be avoided altogether. |
