Why does the solution diverge for this circuit-coupled motor?

It is not known why, but changing the transient time step by a small amount, such as 1 nanosecond, completely corrects the problem.

The time step is being computed as (1/60)/40 = 1/2400. It appears that 1/(time step) should not be a multiple of the number of conductors/phase, which is 12.
