Can a PSD analysis be done on in Simulation with a model supported with body-to-ground joints? Currently the PSD in Simulation seems to work with a fixed support only. The user has a model that is supported with various spherical joints to ground.

No, in ANSYS 11.0 the PSD method utilizes unit displacements at the fixed supports and that isn't possible when the model is supported on joints. To run a PSD analysis it would be necessary to connect the body-to-body spherical joints to a dummy body and the apply the fixed support to the dummy body. In ANSYS 12.0, the method utilizing a static analysis of unit displacement constraints is replaced with a mathematical computation of the participation factor for uniform base excitation, so this workaround may not be necessary at 12.0.
