A customer has run a transient mode-superposition analysis at 7.1, 8.0, and 8.1. The transient timestep solutions are considerably slower at 8.0 and 8.1, compared to 7.1. For one particular test case, the CP time required to complete a transient timestep is 30 times slower at ANSYS 8.0 (compared to ANSYS 7.1), and is 35 times slower at ANSYS 8.1 (compared to 7.1).
