A user has his display setting to 1024x768 and DPI setting to 120dpi.
He claims that when he opens the ANSYS launcher, he can not see the Run button, as it is off the screen.
How can he resize the launcher window?
He has tried increasing the screen resolution, but this makes the font too small.
This user wants to keep the large font setting.

The 8.1 launcher window is static, so there is no way of resizing it, but he could try setting the -fontsize option so that it uses a font size larger than the default of 9. He should try starting with 10, and then going higher. This can be done as follows: Have the user go to Start->Programs->ANSYS 8.1 Right-Click on "Configure ANSYS Products" and choose "Properties" The "Target" should look as follows: "C:Program FilesAnsys Incv81CommonFilesTCLbinintelwish.exe" "C:Program FilesAnsys Incv81CommonFilesLauncherLauncherMain.itcl" Add the following to the end of the line after a space. -fontsize 10 So the final command would be as follows: "C:Program FilesAnsys Incv81CommonFilesTCLbinintelwish.exe" "C:Program FilesAnsys Incv81CommonFilesLauncherLauncherMain.itcl" -fontsize 10 Start at 10 and increase until the font is the desired size. |
