User tries to import any Catia v5 model and nothing happens.
They don't hang per-se, just nothing happens. There were no error messages in the output.
This happens with all models and on multiple machines.

What is causing this?


The 5 environment variables below are known to cause this. The customer will have to remove the environment variables in order for the Catia v5 connection to work.

CATMsgCatalogPath
CATGraphicPath
CATReferenceSettingPath
CATDictionaryPath

We think that it doesn't affect Catia in this case only because the variables are compatible with their Catia release. If these variables pointed to a different release, they would see problems running Catia as well. Once we brought this to the vendor's attention, they came up with a text file scheme, where each Catia application has its own environment, and it doesn't affect other applications.
