When attempting to start ANSYS interactively via the launcher or directly using ansys90.exe,
what causes the error dialogue box, as described below, to appear?

This is only occurring during interactive startup on a Windows machine at ANSYS 9.0 when the Working Directory contains the characters "-b" or "-B". This was reported as defect 29925 and is planned to be corrected in ANSYS Release 10.0. Renaming the directory is the workaround at Release 9.0. Subsequent testing has revealed that the same error occurs on Windows if either the Job Name or the Additional Parameters input contains the characters "-b" or -B". The workaround is to rename the job name or parameter. |
