What is the physical meaning of 'restitution coefficients' in the particle tracking model in CFX-5.7?

The physical meaning of these restitution coefficients is related to the nature of the collision between the particle and the wall.
For an elastic collision (i.e. the particle does not loose any kinetic energy in the process), both coefficients are 1. For an inelastic collision, the coefficients are less than 1.
