I have a beam, shell or beam/shell model which I try to bring into Workbench Simulation. During the geometry import however, I receive a message that there are "no valid body types" and "plugin failed". What could be wrong?

It is possible that the geometry preferences were reset in the control panel ("Tools > Options > Common Settings > Geometry Import"). The top three choices control body types to be imported. If Surface and Line bodies are switched off it will cause the error you are getting. Also note there are multiple places that this could be set incorrectly. The control panel method will change the default setting, however this can be set on the Project page under `Default Geometry Options` or in the details of the Geometry branch under `Preferences`. The latter two methods allow control on a case by case basis rather than resetting the defaults.
