For one-way coupled simulations, particle tracks are not written to backup files because they are calculated at the end of a run.
For fully coupled (two-way) simulations, particle track data is written to files of type "essential" or "standard" only after at least one particle calculation has been performed. By default, the first particle calculation is performed at the 10th iteration. The occurrence of the first particle calculation as well as the particle calculation frequency can be changed by visiting the "Particle Control" tab of the Solver Control form in CFX-Pre
