When setting up a monitoring point, the solver looks for the vertex closest to the monitoring point that you have defined, and monitors the values there. Depending on the mesh resolution, the actual monitoring point will be a small distance away from the point you have specified. There is some indication of the exact location of the monitoring point at the top of your output file.
Post on the other hand will interpolate the values to the exact location that you specify. So the values from Post will differ from that given by the solver at your monitoring point.
