In CFX 10 and CFX 11 the speed of sound in the wet steam dome is calculated as the speed of sound on the saturation line , and not in the dome.

This is true for CFX 10 and CFX 11, and will be corrected in CFX 12. The solver uses the minimum value of the speed of sound between its value at liquid saturation and the vapor saturation phases which is usually the speed of sound of the vapor.

Work-Around:

The speed of sound is not used to calculate any other important variable in wet steam simulations, but is a pure post-processcing variable.

If the liquid speed of sound, cp, cv & (drho/dp)_T are correctly filled out in the RGP file they will be used to evaluate (dp/drho)_s, for which the correct recipe is implemented when the state is inside the dome.
