How do you create a prestressed superelement? My run is aborting.
You are trying to run a prestressed modal without having generated the prestress information. There needs to be a static use pass and expansion pass to create the prestress. There are two ways to create a stress-stiffened superelement. In both of these methods, the stress-stiffening is in the superelement and pstres,on doesn't need to be set in the modal: Method 1 Generation Pass Static Use Pass Expansion Pass (pstres,on) New Generation (pstres,on) Modal Use Pass (pstres, off) Method 2 Full static (pstres,on) Generation Pass (pstres,on) Modal Use Pass (pstres, off) If there are non-superelements in the model. The situation would be different: Method 2a Full static (pstres,on) Generation Pass (pstres,on) Static with super-element and non-superelements (pstres,on) Modal Use Pass (pstres,on) (Ref: 5.0 Substructuring User's Guide) |
