Is there any way to speed up the SENERGY macro? It is way too slow.
I specified SENERGY,0,1 to calculate the magnetic energy in POST1, but I
stopped the calculation after 3 hours since it seemed that the calculation
needed even more time.
The model solution time is only about 30 mins, so why does the SENERGY
macro take so long?

Sometimes postprocessing of large results files is slower than the solution, but this seems excessive. One trick to speed up postprocessing is to enter ansys with a large -db setting. This will result in less paging to disk. Possible settings would be -m 1200 -db 1100. |
